The facilities available at High Ongar Primary School
We unveiled our fabulous outdoor classroom in October 2012. The children really enjoy having a quiet seating area for chatting or reading at break times. This wonderful facility was made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of "The Friends Of High Ongar Primary School".
The original building contains two classrooms and the school office. An extension was added in 1975 which provided a school hall and kitchen and two further classrooms. The kitchen was turned into a computer suite several years ago.
Our state of the art computer suite has enough PC's for every child in a class. Every classroom has interactive whiteboards.
In 2000 the school was provided with a relocatable classroom as the school had grown in numbers. This is now our reception and year one classroom with its own outdoor all weather learning environment. This was part of a large grounds improvement project which involved doubling the size of the hard play area and providing an adventure playground for the children to enjoy.
In 2009 we had a new room built as a group teaching room and the school office area remodelled. The Little Acorn Room has been a great addition to our school and was officially named and opened by a Y6 pupil.

We have data collectors for the children to discover more about the environment around them.
