In science, the children have been investigating the relationship between the amount of friction and the rate of deceleration. The children made a ramp and placed different materials at the base. They then released a car down the ramp and measured how far it travelled on each material. They discovered that the rougher the surface, the greater the friction and the lower the friction, the further the car will travel.
This term, the children have been learning to play samba music. They have learnt to play syncopated rhythms as part of a group and compose basic rhythmic breaks.
